Weekend Adventures

We have unfortunately returned back to reality, after a wonderful 5 day vacation in Massachusetts. We've traveled many miles and have many new memories to show for it. On Saturday we went to Anthony's wedding - it was at the Lyman Estates in Waltham. The venue was absolutely beautiful - as was the wedding party. The ceremony was outside along with dinner. The food was some of the best we've ever had - A+ for the catering staff! Wendy and Anthony also had a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony (the bride and groom serve tea to both sets of parents) which was very interesting. It was fun to see everyone from RPI that I probably haven't seen since Lester's wedding for the most part. Here are some pictures:

On Sunday, we went RVing with my parents - in case you haven't heard, they bought a enormous RV a few months back and my dad is just itching to take it out. We went to Quabbin Reservoir and saw the sights - I haven't been there since I was little, and I probably have a much better appreciation for the beauty of nature now! I have several pictures from this trip, but can't seem to get them uploaded right now. I'll edit the entry later and add them.

We also had time to go out to Connecticut to see the land that Jeff and Julie bought. It is a beautiful piece of property - much larger than anything we could dream of here in Cary (over 3 acres!). They will have a wonderful little neighborhood when it is all done.

After that we just hung around on Monday and Tuesday, enjoyed the lake (I didn't go swimming but Scott did!), and spent some quality family time. It felt like I had never left - I truly miss being at home, especially during the summer lake months...

We are keeping busy this month - headed to Hickory this coming weekend for Michael and Janine's wedding shower (Scott's friend from high school). Then it is off to the beach for the 4th of July - can't believe that is coming up already! I'll keep posting when I have a chance with updates...
