Today's surgery was successful. There was a long wait to get it started but it was completed quickly. The surgery was much less invasive than the last one but Christie is in more pain due to the type of incisions. The morphine button is in high demand.
Christie is resting comfortably in her room. She is on an unrestricted diet and has already asked to order tortellini. We suggested starting a bit slower with applesauce and a muffin.
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers as she starts the real recovery process.
