As of today I am officially discharged from the nursing service that has been helping me and providing my medications, IVs, diet advice, and most importantly moral support for the last 4 months. Part of me wants to throw a party as I unhook my zofran pump from my leg, the other part of me wants to panic because I am officially on my own. No nurse calling me every day to make sure I am ok, no 24 hour dose of zofran pumping into my leg, no ketone and weight checks...what am I going to do with myself?
Another milestone in this hyperemsis journey - now I just have to get to the point that I am off all anti-nausea medications (still on pills 3-4 times a day)...then I really will throw a party!
Our family is like the branches on a tree. We may grow in different directions, yet our roots remain as one.
