Background schmackground...

So several posts...weeks...days...I don't know how long ago it was, I said I was making some changes to the blog. I was bored with the plain old background and wanted something a little snazzier, jazzier, funner (sigh, yes folks, I do know that "funner" is not a word). So I changed the background. Now I am not a computer person...I vaguely remember HTML and having to design my own webpage in college, but will readily admit that another more knowledgeable individual lent me his generous help (ahem...of COURSE I did most of my own work for that class...yes yes, of course). Anyway, the extent of me being able to change our background boils down to downloading free backgrounds that others have created.

Now, I thought I had picked one that looked nice, matched the rudimentary header that I actually DID do on my own, and didn't disrupt the font color that I had been originally writing in. But the word on the street, or at least in my own home, from a loving and ever engaged husband was this....."U-G-L-Y!!!!" Followed by "What did you do to 'our' blog??" And I say "our" because I can't remember the last time Scott put too much thought or energy into the blog. But this asthetic change...now this he was interested in. Or more correctly - totally NOT interested in.

So...here is attempt #2. I actually like this background much better. I hope he does too. I am going to see how long it takes him to notice it. Now you ABB ladies, don't you go tipping him off! :-) My guess is it takes 3 days. I'll let ya know...and hopefully he'll have a better reaction this time!

I hate to agree with Scott, but it was a bit "girly". Which, I chalked up to the fact you were having a girl and trying to get in the spirit of what is heading our way. I like the new background better.

If it makes you feel better, Mike is quick to critique my posts (especially spelling, grammer, and typos), but doesn't contribute otherwise. He did once, but I deemed it "unfunny", and rewrote the whole post myself.
